2,6-Naphthalene dicarboxylic acid (2,6-NDCA) is a key monomer for high-performance polyester PEN (poly(naphthalene dicarboxylic acid, ethylene glycol ester), which is significantly superior to PET in heat resistance, gas barrier properties, and mechanical strength, and is used in high-end films, fibers, and packaging. This technology uses 2,6-dialkyl naphthalene as raw material to produce 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid by liquid-phase catalytic oxidation: through the synergistic optimization of the catalyst system and oxidation process conditions, the high-efficiency directional oxidation of the alkyl group on the naphthalene ring is achieved, and the crude product is refined to meet the polymerization level requirements. This monomer has long been a problem of high difficulty in synthesis and limited supply. This technology provides raw material support for the localization of PEN and high-end copolymers.
